Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy early Thanksgiving and Black Friday/Small Business Saturday/Cyber Monday.  Shopping season! If you plan to shop small on Saturday (or any day), why not check out my Etsy shop?

Do you go shopping on Black Friday?  I used to.  My mom would go with me, too.  But in the last 10-15 years, I haven't felt like it was worth it to brave the crowds since I haven't been shopping for big ticket items. However, if one of our daughters asked me to go with them, I wouldn't refuse.  It's good bonding time if nothing else!

Homemade Happiness for November 12

Welcome! I have a few handmade cards to share with you today.

First, I have two birthday cards (hand colored and hand stamped).

Next I have 3 Christmas cards.  The first one is a layered card design from The Bearded Housewife.

I designed the next two cards: one a "stained glass" design and the other a Christmas owl.
This one is part of a set for sale on Etsy

This one is also part of a set available on Etsy.  It is truly one-of-a-kind because there is only one set available.
I've also been making ornaments.
This one is made from faux leather and heat transfer vinyl.  The design is by Amy Romeu.

There is more handmade goodness at Happiness is Homemade! Let me know what you think and if you'd like to see a tutorial for one of my cards.  Have a great week!

Have a Little Craftiness Today

Hey crafty friends!  I'm still trying to adjust to the time change!  How about you?

This is so me!!!!

This past week I tried out two new products.  First was Hero Arts wax.  I used a stencil that mimics candy canes but is more pink than red. The second product was Simon Hurley Lunar Paste in a gold, metallic color, so I used an ornament stencil.  After they dried, I added a sentiment and an offset using foam squares

There isn't much difference in the feel of each of these products.  They both have a smooth, creamy texture, and they don't take as long to dry as I thought they would.  They have a nice shine, too.  Have you been up to anything crafty lately?

How about a few laughs?

Have a crafty week!

Cute Drawstring Bag!

Hello!  I wanted to show you another variation of the drawstring bags that are in my Etsy shop.

Isn't it cute?  I think they all are, but I'm biased.

These bags are great for a variety of reasons.  You could carry coins, small toys, office supplies, or even snacks, but better yet, you could wrap a present in these fabric gift bags.  If you are like me and sometimes have trouble wrapping due to arthritis, these bags could save a lot of pain.  Slip the gift inside, pull the drawstrings, add a tag, and it's ready to go under the tree in a snap.

Here is the Etsy link.

Thank you for stopping by!
