Coloring and Card-Making

I love to color.  During the pandemic shut down, I was looking for more to do at home, and I realized how much I enjoy coloring.  It's a creative yet relaxing hobby.  I also love to make cards.  So... I recently decided to merge these two favorites.

Thus was born the Coloring Card Kit.  I have only come up with two designs so far, one with balloons and one with flowers, both for birthdays.  It's so fun to color a card front and glue it to a card to give to someone special.

And since I love this so much, I have created some kits to sell on Etsy.  It's always a good idea to have some birthday cards on hand when the need arises, and who can resist a handmade card?  These are fun for kids and adults alike.  I like buying kits, so I hope other people will, too. Thanks for visiting!

Happiness is ...

Hello!  Are you enjoying this wonderful happy day?  Me, too!

If happiness is a completed project, then I am beyond happy right now.

I decided to make a dust cover for my Cricut when I found this beautiful fabric at Hobby Lobby about two weeks ago.  Project finished!

And a couple of months ago, my daughter and I were at JoAnn near Dallas, and I bought this cute canvas fabric with a variety of crafting pictures on it from the markdown section. I wasn't sure what I was going to do with it at first.  I decided to make a wall hanging organizer.  I had made a smaller one previously, but this one was much larger.  It has 8 pockets, 2 of which are pretty deep.  I may use it for keychain and jewelry making supplies.  I will attach it to the rolling cart I have in my craft room office.  Another project finished!

This weekend, I made over a dozen cards, some of them for sale on Etsy right now.  I even made some to keep for myself.  You never know when you're going to need a birthday card! It's been a crafty few days, and that makes me happy!

These craft memes below are pretty much spot-on!

Easter Crafts

I've been planning a butterfly or Easter egg wreath for a while, and since Easter is coming up quickly, I decided to combine the two into one wreath.

The butterflies are made of layered cardstock.  The eggs are just plain, plastic Easter Eggs.  I attached a bow at the bottom made out of ribbon and the bow at the top is made of tulle. (pipe cleaner for the hanger.)

I actually burned the heck out of my hand while making this.  Yes, I was wearing my silicone finger protectors, but the glue gun dripped when I moved it, and a big blob of glue fell on my hand.  It was painful.  That's what I get for using a high-temp glue gun I guess.

This is a card I made one of our daughters (and her husband).

Sorry for the shadow in the picture.  I like a lot of things about this card such as the simplicity of it, the shimmer in the oval, the pops of color in the corners, but most of all, the bunny's cottontail.

I want to show you my husband's card, but he sometimes reads my blog, and I want him to see it first.  I'd love to see what crafting you're working on!
